Indications of Duomeal 200 ml

Hyperacidity, peptic ulcer, gastritis, heartburn, sour stomach, and dyspepsia are all conditions that Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide can help with.

Pharmacology

Duomeal 200 ml is a balanced combination of essential non-systemic antacids with excellent efficacy and palatability. These are reliable antacids and have no acid reflux, constipation, or catheterization effects. Both preparations can alleviate the symptoms of hyperacidity related to heartburn, gastric acid intake or gastric acid. Aluminum Hydroxide Gel

is a slow-acting antacid and long-acting adsorbent with strong neutralizing ability. Magnesium hydroxide has slow but continuous acid neutralizing properties. Antacids in tablets and suspensions are absorbent. They form a protective layer on the surface of the ulcer to promote its healing, thus protecting the sensitive stomach and duodenal mucosa from further irritation.

 

Dosage & Administration

Tablet: Two tablets 1-3 hours after meal and at bed time or as directed by the physician.

Suspension: 2 tea spoonful 1-3 hours after meal and at bed time or as directed by the physician.

 

Interaction of Duomeal 200 ml

Azithromycin, cefpodoxime, ciprofloxacin, isoniazid, rifampicin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, pivampicillin, tetracyclines, Gabapentin and phenytoin, Itraconazole, ketoconazole, Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, and phenothiazines are all inhibited by this medication.

 

Contraindications

Duomeal 200 ml is not recommended if you have hypophosphataemia. It's also not recommended for those with alkalosis or hypermagnesaemia who have abdominal distention caused by partial or total intestinal blockage.

 

Side Effect of Duomeal 200 ml

Long-term usage of any antacid causes alkaluria, which can lead to nephrolithiasis due to calcium phosphate precipitation.

 

Pregnancy & Lactation

Antacid medicines should be avoided throughout the first trimester of pregnancy.

 

Precautions & Warnings

Antacids reduce the absorption of tetracycline when given concomitantly. These should not be used concomitantly
